In 2017 we established our Preston Italian restaurant with these guiding principles in mind. Tonda is not just a restaurant, it is a place where people gather and relationships are nurtured. We have created a warm, charming and inclusive environment with vivid colours that express a classy and modern spirit. We welcome larger groups; private events and our catering team would love to serve you at home or at your office.

At Tonda Italian, we love Australian seafood. Hand picking fresh, locally caught seafood makes all the difference on the plate. We only source sustainably caught seafood and crustaceans.

Liza Russo is one of Melbourne’s preeminent restaurateurs and industry personalities. She started her restaurateur journey over 30 years ago in the back streets of North Fitzroy at Rubiras Restaurant. There she learned the finer aspects of serving seafood cuisine. She then moved to Collins Street in Melbourne CBD and has now landed in Preston! Liza’s inspiration comes from her travels through southern Italy, compiling her visions and creativity to create Tonda Italian. Liza brings her heritage and passion for fresh ingredients into each dish.
